There is a woman in Washington, D.C. named Hannah Shaw who has made it her goal to change the world for neonatal kittens. Known as Kitten Lady, she has launched a nonprofit on behalf of kittens in need after her own nickname.

This year National Pet Memorial Day, the second Sunday of September, falls on September 11. And so we give special remembrance to the 9/11 first responders for their bravery and heroism, including the fearless search and rescue dogs and their handlers.

Petfinder is celebrating their 20^th Anniversary this year, and they are asking people across the country to join the celebration and its effort to donate $200,000 to the Petfinder Foundation, who will award grants to 20 shelter and rescue members!
