Giving Tuesday and ways you can help
Giving Tuesday - a simple idea with a far-reaching purpose. It’s all about coming together with your family, your friends, your community, your company, or your organization with the purpose to find a way to give back and then to share your idea with the rest of the world. Falling on November 29 this year, it’s an opportunity to join the movement to give.
There are many ways to give:
- Your time at local animal shelters, for example
- A monetary donation to a charity in need of funds
- Your voice in your local community to support a cause and raise awareness
The key is not to sit back but to reach out. Think for a moment: Who can I help and why? What organization can I join to make a difference? How can I make myself be heard on others’ behalf?
At Gemini Universal LLC, we support a number of causes, all connected to the animal rescue and animal welfare realm. But we also support particular causes when it comes to how animals can benefit humans in need. That’s why our “Current Cause” is helping to raise funds so canine Gracie can complete her Service Dog training, and at the end of her 18-month training period be united with Greg Costa, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Survivor – Gracie’s match.
I’ve noticed over the past few years that service dogs make the news time and again for their amazing ability to lead the disabled and bring out the voice of autistic children. They are not considered pets for that reason. From what I’ve read, I believe they are lifesavers.
This Giving Tuesday I lend my voice to raising awareness of Gracie’s GoFundMe campaign to help raise the $15K cost to complete her service dog training. She is under the supervision of trainers at Wilderwood, a highly respected service dog training facility in Tennessee.
